1840: 2 d. blue, Plate 1, lettered KA-KB, a used horizontal pair with ample to good margins all round, tied to 1841 cover from Edinburgh to London by two strikes of the Maltese Cross in black. File fold crosses the right hand stamp, reverse with Edimburgh despatch cds (Nov 24) in red and London arrival cds in red. A scarce franking Gi = £ 2'500.
