1840: 1 d. grey-black, Plate 5, lettered MA, good to large margins all round, tied to 1841 cover from Hull to Manchester by smudged black Maltese Cross. Reverse with 'Hull' double arc despatch cds in black (March 13). Minor edge wear to the letter-sheet but a fine stamp.
