1840 (May 21): Mulready 1 d. black envelope, stereo A146, a fine used example from Liverpool to Raby Place, Bath cancelled by fine strike of the the Maltese Cross in orange with corresponding 'Liverpool' datestamp on reverse 'MA 21 / 1840 / K' in same ink. Slight ironed wrinkles of no significance, a fine and rare usage. Cert. RPSL (2009) Gi = £ 2'000.
