Rettimo / Rethymno 1890: 8 pa. on 2 kr. pale brown (5) and single 2 pi. on 20 kr. olive-green all used on reverse of 1899 registered cover at double rate from Rettimo to Munich, Germany all individually tied by circular RETTIMO / OESTERREICHISCHE POST datestamps (1/2) struck in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 551). Yellow registration label on obverse and notation of German Military sender, reverse with two München arrival cds's (Feb 7). Opens well for Exhibit display and a rare usage of the 2 piastre value on letter.
