Constantinople 1855/63: Covers/entire letters (6) all mailed to Germany with prepaid circa 1855 cover to Berlin with FRANCO and CONSTANTINOPEL wreathed cds (Tchilinghirian fig. 385) rated '5.10' piastres,1855 prepaid entire to Stuttgart with FRANCO disinfected at Semlin, 1856 entire to Düren with same despatch cds, circular disinfection cachet applied in Semlin and thence via Vienna; 1859 similarly routed entire to Gerasmühle, 1862 unpaid entire to Leipzig with CONSTANTINOPEL cds well struck in blue (fig. 387) and a prepaid example with FRANCO on front. A scarce and fine group.
