Austrian Post Office in Tenedos 1861 (Aug 6): Prepaid entire letter from Lemnos to Trieste, crossed to denote prepayment with TENEDOS circular datestamp (8/16) in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 582) with reversed month and date. The reverse with rare and unrecorded by Tchilingarian FRANCO handstamp in same ink alongside Triest arrival (22/8) in black with manuscript '20' soldi notation adjacent. Opens to display Lemnos internal dating at right. A scarce and unusual entire.
