Mexico District 1856: 1 r. yellow, 2 r. green and 8 r. red-lilac (2 examples) all used on cover front to Vera Cruz, endorsed 'Con Cartas para ultramar' (with letters for overseas) at top, and 'Por Extraordinario' (Express to Vera Cruz) above the adhesives, tied by lozenge of dots obliterator of Mexico City (Schatzkes fig. 826). An astonishing 19 reales franking and extremely fine for such a usage. Cert.
