Mafeking 1900: Small group (6 items) with Surcharged 1 d. on Hope ½ d. green, 1 d. on Hope Standing ½ d. green, 3 d. on 1 d. carmine (two examples) all used on piece and tied by "Mafeking" cds's in black; Baden-Powell 3 d. pale blue and 3 d. deep blue on blue, narrow setting, used examples with the former cancelled by "Mafeking" cds (April 19), the deep shade on piece with cds (May 11) in black. Slight aging to the latter two but a scarce group Gi = £ 1'250+.
