Inclinados 1844/46: 60 r. black, Type II, a used example applied as seal to reverse of 1847 cover to Montmorillon, France tied by oval framed "OLIVEIRA / VA" handstamp in black (Ayres fig. 1576); thence via British Post Office with superb "RIO-JANEIRO" cds (June 25) in black. Carried by private ship with London arrival (Aug 24) in red and framed "COLONIES &c. ART.13" on obverse; thence via Boulogne (Aug 26) to destination where charged "18" décimes to pay. Illustrated in W.G. Taveira "Inclinados" on page 368. A fine and scarce cover.
