Recess by Perkins Bacon 1861: 4 d. vermilion, perf. 14 at Somerset House, wmk. Swan sideways, a used example of fine colour, showing variety Stock Control Accountancy mark " ---4 d." printed on the reverse of the stamp in vermilion (normally found above the two top right corner stamps on obverse of the sheet margin). Lightly cancelled in black, a most unusual variety. Cert. Ceremuga (2015) Gi = £ 200+.
