lot # 1591 - Overseas collections/lots oversea countries
1903/1966: Accumulation of over 50 letters from all regions of the Pacific, with some earlier items from French New Caledonia, including a commercially used picture postcard from Noumea, the larger part of this lot is a correspondence of twenty-one letters from Samoa to Germany between 1919 and 1923. The letters are franked largely with NZ stamps overprinted Samoa, the early section with British Censors, the later with German exchage control Censors. It is very unusual to find this many Samoa Overprint covers, albeit the condition is not always pristine.
