1859: 5 c. violet, a cut round example used on 24 April 1860 cover from Cucutá to Maracaibo, Venezuela tied by oval framed "S. JOSE / DE CUCUTA / FRANCA" handstamp in black. The cover, addressed to Swift, Penny & Co. with repairable closed tear on face panel, the adhesive most unusually cut round and believed to be the sole recorded first issue usage in this fashion, and a rare usage (paid as far as the border) to a destination outside Colombia.
