Occupation of New Guinea 1914: ½ d. green in a horizontal pair, 1 d. red Die II and 2 d. grey, all punctured small "OS", used on 1914 correctly rated cover to Sydney (Soldier's concessionary Postage 1 d. + Registration 3 d.) tied by "Herbertshöhe" handstamps in violet. Endorsed at top "Garrison Duty on Active Service, Herbertshöhe" in manuscript and sender's name and rank at lower left. Backstamped at Sydney (Dec 14).
