Incoming Mail 1858 (Dec 20): Entire letter from Calcutta to Mauritius endorsed "per Himalaya" and "Consignee's Letter" and struck on arrival with "♚ / MAURITIUS / GPO" datestamp (Jan 22, 1859) in black. No charges levied - mail could be sent free of postal charges by the consignee of cargo on the vessel. Scarce and very fine.
