Incoming Mail 1855/57: 1 d. red star, Embossed 6 d. lilac cut to shape and scarce usage of 1855 4 d. carmine, wmk. Small Garter, on deeply blued paper on 1855 cover to Government House, Mauritius, all tied by Stroud '757' obliterators in black. Reverse with Stroud despatch in red (Oct 26). Carried on the P&O steamers "Vectis" to Alexandria, "Bentinck" to Galle and the schooner "Annie" to Mauritius where oval "PACKET LETTER / MAURITIUS" applied in black (Feb 17, 1856). Small imperfections but an attractive cover.
