1863/72: 4 d. rose and 1 s. yellow used on 1868 cover endorsed "via Marseilles" to Paris, tied by "10" circular numeral handstamps of Rivière du Rempart in black. Octagonal "POSS AN V SUEZ / AMB. MARS" struck in red at right (Salles fig. 1875) dated April 15th. Carried by French steamer "Mozambique" to Suez, thence by the "Said" to Marseille. Reverse with "RIVIERE DU REMPART" cds (March 18, Mauritius cds and Paris arrival (April 16). Part flap missing and slight spotting but rare.
