Comté de Nice becoming part of France 1860 (Sept 3): Entire letter from Nice to Lyon bearing 1854 Napoléon imperf. 20 c. blue 'bleu ciel' Type I, a superb example with large to gorgeous margins showing parts of the neighbouring stamps at left and right, tied by light Sardinian-type "NIZZA MARa 5 SET 60" despatch cds, a clear information strike alongside. Reverse with MARSEILLE transit and LYON arrival cds of the next day. A rare and appealing entire, signed Raybaudi Maury = € 500.
