Austrian Shipmail, Mailing Facilities on Board of Ships, Adriatic Sea 1860 (Dec 25): Entire letter from Trieste to Postire on the  Brač island, bearing 1858 15 kr. blue type II, a fine and fresh adhesive, tied by superb framed octagonal "TRIESTE 23 / 12 V. L. A." datestamp in black with day slug inverted (Müller 3422p = 400 points). Reverse with Zara two line transit datestamp and "St. PIETRO DELLA BRAZZA" transit (Dec 28) cds. Lightest horizontal filing folds at base well away from stamp and postmark, some staining of the cover, nevertheless an attractive usage.
