Colonial 1798c.: Cover front from the Viceroy of Peru to Chiloe  endorsed "Por El Rey" at top and "Virrey" and "Por Chile" at lower left, rated at enormous '163' reales for a 32½ ounce letter, struck on despatch with "LIMA" handstamp (28 x 8.5 mm.) in red (Tizón fig. 6 / Colareta fig. 7). Addressed to The Commander of the Veteran Troops ("Al Commandante de las Tropas Veteranas") in the province of Chiloe. Exceptional and rare.rnProvenance: Collection Fernando Camino.
