Typeset and printed at the Official Gazette by Baum & Dallas, Georgetown 1856 (Jan): 4 c. black on rose-carmine surfaced coloured paper, a used example with enormous margins all round, initialled "EDW" (Wight) and cancelled by double arc "Demerara" datestamp (Oct 10, 1856) in black. Two tiny thin spots of no importance or significance, pressed crease and small surface defects painted in but of fine appearance for this iconic stamp. Signed A. Diena. Cert. Alberto Diena (1963).
