1923 cover used locally in Dublin franked ½d (2) obverse bears violet h/stamp CENSORED BY/I.R.A fine strike, 1923 Dublin local reg cover posted at College Green to the Railway Protection Unit at Griffith Barracks, franked 5d, 1923 Aug 30th 6d used fiscally on a document from the Nat Bank, indemnifying the Army re losses of 71 bank drafts issued officially by the Paymaster General, which were destroyed in the Rotunda Fire of 4/5 November 1922, when the main sorting office was destroyed by rebels.
