1950 cover from South Africa and addressed to Chingola Northern Rhodesia the cover had insufficient postage paid and was taxed 'T/1d' arriving at Chingola on 5th May 1950, when the Postmaster had no 1d postage due labels left in stock. The Postmaster therefore bisected a 2d postage due by hand and used it as a 1d label. Most unusual cover.
