Wrench card showing a polar bear in the Antarctic looking at a British flag with BRITISH NATIONAL ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION 1901 inscription carried by Discovery and posted to Lymm from Christchurch on 25 AP 04 with ANTARCTIC EXPDN 1901 S.S.DISCOVERY on the face side. DA-4. Also 1909 card 'GLÜCKLICHES NEUJAHR' issued to celebrate Peary’s success showing polar bears and very strange penguins greeting Peary and his men with a glass and bottles of champagne while a bearded seal looks on.
