BOER WAR 1902 censored cover sent from the Norval's Pont Burgher Camp, a Cape 1d cancelled MY.6.02. Twice censored, this cover is addressed to C.W.H. Van der Post, a prominent member of the Free State Volksraad & later commandant of the areas South & East of Bloemfontein. He was captured by the British on 13th Sept 1900 but released on parole thanks to his civilized treatment of British prisoners. He went to live in Stellenbosch. A historical item from this Burgher Camp.
