1788.05.12, Corfu–Venice: Entire folded letter written in Italian, dated "Corfù li 12 Mag.o 1788", sent to Venice. The cover bears the doubtful entry postmark LETTERE DA MARE VENEZIA. This oval handstamp LETTERE DA MARE VENEZIA seems to be forged, as mentioned by Paul Vollmeier in his issue on "FAKES - FORGERIES - EXPTERS Nr 1" (pages 113-120, a similar item is illustrated in page 118, photo 11).
