1851, HALFLENGTH, 1d., bright pinky red (paler subshade), 3rd state of the dies, with WHITE VEILS, Thomas Ham 3rd state of printing, lower left corner margin block of 18, with the 2 lower rows showing all positions (12) of the intermediate stone, 3 original horizontal creases BETWEEN the stamps were made for separation reasons and are not effecting the stamps, 4 stamps have tiny thin spots, 2 at right with splits, 1 stamp 20 percent thin in the lower left corner, natural minor gum creasing and minor ageing spots in the margin are mentioned for full accuracy, 6 lower central block is MNH and in very good condition, visually the item is in excellent appearance, 2nd largest positional (43-60) show piece known, in very good state of preservation for such a large multiple, as singles £ 49,500., cert.
