1851 (8 Mar) Folded letter (official letter) sent from Kyakhta to Tambov, with framed "Kyakhta 8 Mar 1851" departure pmk on back, with nearly intact wax seal of the "Tritskosavsk Town Council" (town situated four versts from Kyachta, a town located on the Kyakhta River near the Mongolia-Russia border. The town stands directly opposite the Mongolian border town of Altanbulag). A wonderful rarity, one of only five (!) recorded postal items from Kyachta, illustrated in Dobin's "Postmarks of the Russian Empire, Pre-Adhesive Period" (St. Petersburg, 2009), with 2003 Melnikov and Liapine certificates
