Lebanon stamps. 1943 MNH “II° Commemoration of the independence” issue stamps in sheets of 25 of postage only. The wealthy buyer who bought the sheets at the time, paid the sum of 106.25 LP. When one considers the exchange rate in 1943, fixed to 2.2 LP for 1 US$, we obtain a sum of 48.29 US$. Considering the dollar's inflation until 2019, resulting the "little sum" corresponding to 709.56 US$. Maury cat. n° 183/186, value 2'450€. RARE FOR BIG COLLECTOR.
