Fine collection of the French Somali Coast, before independence, with many old and varieties.
Quite complete and thorough, including rectangular and triangular values of 1894/1900, "cut" stamps on fragments, the 1902/1903 series with rare varieties difficult to find except at a high price, including "reversed centres", imperforates, 146a (reversed legend), "Free France" including 231, etc.
Many duplicates.
A very fine set rarely seen on sale, clean and well presented with annotations on strip pages.
Small RP under 10%, to be taken advantage of to acquire at a low price old/variety items that can be bought individually between 20 and 40% of their value.

(See in this sale the dispersion of a beautiful set of Colonies with beautiful old pieces, very detailed and rare varieties.) This set came from a careful and knowledgeable collector who spent a lot of time collating his collection. A set rarely as detailed on sale.
