Chefoo,. 1896-97. Chefoo to Germany to Chefoo. Japanese postal stationary card (with reply) sent from IJPO Chefoo (26 Jun 1896) to Strassburg (no arrival as usual). Reply card (undetached) sent from Strassburg (7 Jun 1897) to Chefoo. Arived with Customs Chefoo cds (15 Jul), redirected to German Consulate in Shanghai with  Chefoo dollar date (16 Jul), then re-directed again (annotaion in red) to Bremen with arival cds (1 Aug). Magnificant post card establishing the last day of the Customs Post and first day usage of dollar chop.
