1870, 24 C green & violet, tied by manuscript receiving docketing "Rec'd. from PM upon usual oath with leave to open March 21, 1870" on cover addressed to the Superior Court of Talbot County in Talbotton Georgia, on the frontside light strike of New York Registered, MAR.9, date stamp along with various manuscript court docketing. Envelope slightly reduced at left, stamp with small part of top right corner off, on reverse red paper seals from the Commissioners for Georgia in New York. A census and analysis by J.W.Rose & R.M.Searing lists 72 domestic usages of this stamp on cover, this particular cover is listed in the book, because it was recorded by Ashbrook and offered in Siegel sale (Sept.1961), it last appeared at Corey Long sale in 2007.
