1839, This cover, from 1839 , bears 4 postal marks on the face A "3" which paid the ship's captain and charge from Tonga to Sydney, a "PAID SHIP LETTER/SYDNEY/crown/OC15/1839" oval, a boxed "CORK SHIP LETTER" receiver and an "8", the postage payable on receipt in London. On the reverse is a Cork receiver for MR 7 1840 and an indecipherable London receiver. The entire was carried from Sydney on the "William Mitchell", captain Francis Harvey.
