1902/12, Commercial press ovpt. $1, 10 C. with imperial issues 3 C., 5 C., 50 C. total $1.68 franking tied bulky mail items postmark "(SHANGHAI) POST OFFICE" to registered parcel front, also Japanese offices 2 S., 4 S., 20 S. (5, two torn) total Y1.06 tied "SHANGHAI I.J.P.O. 3.6.12" to Honolulu/Hawaii and US due 5 C. for customs handling added. Very unusual mixed franking of imperial/republic high values and IJPO in China.
- Note that the end of the double franking system 1903/07 did not apply to international parcel post, where double franking system was be continued with all foreign offices until Chinas adjournment to the UPU in 1914.
