1846-1936 "Finis Coronat Opus" (The end crowns the work) - The Seychelles motto is a wonderful headline for this fantastic collection of the stamps and postal history of the Seychelles, well written up on exhibition pages. It starts with few pre-philatelic covers, followed by French stamps used on covers from the Seychelles, a cover from Zanzíbar to the U.S.A. in 1864 via the Seychelles and franked by Mauritius stamps, as well as a section of Mauritius stamps used in Seychelles (stamps, rare covers and postal stationery). The collection of Seychelles issues begins with Duty Plate Die Proofs (1889), followed by the Seychelles stamps mint (few multiples, varieties etc. used), PROOFS and covers, including "SPECIMEN", some large multiples, a wide range of varieties as "repaired S", overprints varieties etc. (many with certificates), up to KGV. issues. The last part of this collection contains the Seychelles postal stationery including essays & proofs, scarce frankings and destinations, paid reply cards, registered envelopes, various sizes, etc. In addition further stamp like Revenues, and a lot of certificates. AN OUTSTANDING AND ALMOST FINE/SUPERB COLLECTION - WONDERFUL.
Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.
