1871/1961: Mint and used, housed in 2 albums, well written up and a joy to view. Beginning with the 1871 first issue tiger heads including 2 covers of the 1 shahi, SG #2, both identified by plate as well as possible sheet position. Then #5, #6, #8 and #12 used, as well as a spectacular strip of 3x SG #6 particularly scarce as a multiple, then many more mint and used examples of the tiger head issues with well over 100 items. Some of the other key items include #9 used on cover, a scarce sheet of 30 of #13, also strips of 5 of #16 and #17 mint, both strips showing all the different types of the 1875 – 1878 issues, continuing with 80 examples including mint, used, shades, pairs, used on cover, etc. Also many good types present in the later years through to the 1920 royal stars, as well as an unused example of 30pa . The 2nd album begins with the 1930s with many varieties, shades and different perforations, through to the first airmail issues of 1939 on to the special issues of 1948 through to the 1960s, nearly all complete including errors. Much more here than described, an important collection, especially the 19th century classics.
