Included are usages prior to the introduction of the "B.C.O.F." overprints, i.a. 1945 cds TOKYO BAY JAPAN on two covers from H.M.A.S SHROPSHIRE addressed to Australia, 3d KGVI tied by A.F.P.O. N°30 R.A.A.F. JAPAN, 26.AU.46, on cover to New Zealand and 5s 'coronation robes' on registered cover from AUST UNIT POSTAL STN 453, 7.AP.47, to Eta Jima; furthermore concurrent usages incl. 7d KGVI airletter from FIELD P.O. 80, 1.AU.47 (allocated to Hiro) addressed to Germany and 2 x 3d KGV on reg. cover from A.F.P.O.N°230 R.A.A.F., 18.MR.48, addressed to South Melbourne.
