1936 Crash mail carried by Imperial Airways flying boat "Scipio": Cover from Namtu, North. Shan States in BURMA (14. Aug. 1936) to Swansea, Britain and re-directed, carried by the Scipio which crashed near Crete on 22nd Aug. 1936, with two KGV. stamps of India remaining and one (½a.) stamp lost in sea water, with large "DAMAGED BY SEA WATER" h/s on back, well written up on an album page along with India KGV. 2½a. strip of three also cancelled by Namtu dater. A scarce cover from one of only three Imperial Airways flying boats (Scipio 1936, Cygnus 1937 and Centurion 1939) carried mail and crashed.
