1898, Two covers bearing Aden-Massaua ship mail datestamps, one from Massaua, Italian Eritrea to Rimini, Italy bearing framed "6/GIU/98 POSTE ITALIANE/MASSAUA ADEN" datestamps, the other (with contents) from Sparanise, Italy to Asmara, Eritrea bearing on back the framed "11/GEN/99 POSTE ITALIANE/ADEN MASSAUA" datestamp, both franked by respective 20c. adhesives. The covers opened roughly with resp. faults otherwise fine. A SCARCE PAIR SHOWING BOTH DIRECTIONS THE SCARCE ADEN-MASSAUA DATESTAMP WAS USED. (actual Macrelli handbook 12 pts. each)
