1874, 25 Kr graulila, handschriftlich übergehend entwertet mit der Briefgebühr "Lire 1,20", auf komplettem Faltbrief aus Alexandrette in Ägypten nach Genova in Italien. Der Brief wurde vom Absender versehentlich in den Briefkasten des französichen Auslandspostamtes eingeworfen und trägt den Ovalstempel "B M" (boite mobile), rückseitig französischer K2 ALEXANDRIE/EGYPTE, 11 JANV. 74. Dort wurde die Frankatur nicht anerkannt und der Brief unfrei via Transit Beyrouth und Brindisi in Genova zugestellt und mit 2 x 60 C italienischem Nachporto (GENOVA, 17 GEN 74) belegt. Sehr seltener und aussergewöhnlicher Beleg! ÷ 1874, 25 Kr grey-lilac, tied by manuscript notation of postage fee "Lire 1,20", single franking on entire letter from Alexandrette in Egypt to Genova in Italy. The letter was mistakenly placed in the mail box of the French P.O. in Alexandria. On the frontside black oval handstamp "B M" (boite mobile), on reverse french cds ALEXANDRIE/EGYPTE, 11 JANV. 74. The austrian franking was not accepted, the letter treated as unpaid and sent via transit Beyrouth and Brindisi to Genova, on arrival charged with 2 x 60 C italian postage due stamps (GENOVA, 17 GEN 74). Very rare and exceptionel cover!
