1869-76 Boxed "FALKLAND/PAID./ISLANDS." handstamp in black used on small pink ladies envelope 1873 to Swansea, South Wales, with fine strike of "FALKLAND ISLANDS/NO/5/1873" double-ring datestamp plus "6" (for 6d. rate) in m/s alongside, carried by s/s "Black Hawk" to Montevideo and by s/s "John Elder" PSNCo packet boat to Liverpool. The envelope has been opened roughly, otherwise fine. An attractive cover with fine strikes of the scarce postmarks. R.P.S. certificate (1947) (SG from £17,000)
