1852-53 Essays of Half Anna "Lion & Palm Tree", One Anna "Queen Victoria" and Two Annas "Queen Victoria" as per the "Die for the Issued Stamp", together as pencil drawings on thick white card (188x85 mm) with piece (torn) of thin parchment paper attached, vertical fold, few stains and little (needle) holes, but designs fine and clear. Believed to be connected with the photozincographed sheets but probably earlier. A GREAT RARITY OF THE FIRST STAMP PERIOD OF INDIAN PHILATELY. (Ex Renouf and Garratt-Adams; CRL 2/3/93, lot 1005).
