1916: Osaka-Zulassungsmarke: ovales Siegelrot, nach Rufer/Rungas Type Ib, dort nur 1x bekannt, auf mehrfach zenzierter, im Text verschlüsselter Karte des Ausbrecherkönigs Artelt an seine Frau in Tientsin. Zu diesem Stück schreiben Rufewr-Rungas: " ... das mit Abstand bemerkenswerteste Stück der gesamten erhalten gebliebenen Tsingtau-Kriegsgefangenenpost." ÷ Osaka, 1916, oval admission seal in red on ppc with two han of censor inc. "Yoshikawa", oval "censorship pased" and red "Tientsin yuki" from "Osaka Horie 5.6.18" (June 18, 1916) by "escape king" Artelt to his wife in Tientsin german quarter, China. The typewritten text is coded by underlining words resulting in hint to a secret letter included into a book sent by same mail to a Mr. Dorfmueller. In their 1965 book Ruefer/Rungas called that coded-card the most remarkable piece of the POW mail of Tsingtau. Two closed staple holes.
