1856 MOSSUL-ROME: Entire letter from Mossul, dated 30 June 1856, to Rome by French paquebot via Alexandria and landing at Citavecchia, bearing "ALEXANDRIA/26 JUIL/56" French transit cds, boxed "PAQUEBOT/DE LA/MEDITERRANÉE" in red, "VIA DI MARE" in red and curved "CITAVECCHIA/DALL/VIA DI MARE" h/s in black on front, Citavecchia '2 Aug 56' cds in black and Rome '2 Aug 56' arrival cds in red on the reverse.
