1917, postage-exemption stamp brown/yellowish (2nd issue) used on internee's cover with endorsement "France de port" and violet straight line "PORTVRIJ / FRANCE DE PORT. / Militaires etrangers / Internes dans les Pays-Bas" and c.d.s. "HARDERWIJK 4.XII.17" alongside, to Les Ponts de Martel/Switzerland with arrival mark 7.XII.17 on reverse. This stamp wasn't officially used, here unobliterated but apparently genuinely used as a vignette on cover. Adhesive and cover showing some slight imperfections/postal wear (irrelevant). Interesting, scarce and attractive!
