1854-1946 "BRITISH INDIA MINT": Specialized collection of mint stamps of British India containing seven lithographed ½a. and 1a. (Dies I and II) plus three 2a. green, unused without gum as issued, (one 2a. with remnants of gum), stamps of following Queen Victoria issues including a lot of scarce and rare items like 1855 4a. on blue glazed paper, 1863 2a. yellow (RPSL certificate), 1865 4a. green, 1882-1900 issues up to 5r. and with several shades, varieties like inverted watermark, few multiples etc., followed by KEVII. issues up to 25r. with high Rupee values NEVER HINGED, the 25r. lightly hinged (fresh and superb), also with colour shades, the KGV. and KGVI. issues up to 25r. values (mostly fine unmounted mint) with varieties (several stamps showing watermark inverted), colour shades and multiples. A similar part Officials with several good stamps like small "Service" opts. on various 8p. incl. block of four, the rare 4a. (SG O14) and 8a., marginal pairs of ½a. (with gutter ornaments) and 8a. (Plate "5A" pair) with large "Service", or 1925 2r. on 10r. carmine, and others, followed by C.E.F. issues including the unissued QV 1a6p., plus varieties like several KGV. stamps with "Lapped C on top", and a set I.E.F. In addition several stamps/sets of post-Independence period including mounted mint sets GANDHI and Archaeological series, and others. Almost all stamps are fine/very fine except a few of early QV issues which are lightly toned or stained or showing other minor imperfections. AN EXTRAORDINARY MINT COLLECTION.
