Talmud and Important Sermons by Rabbi Shneur David Walt – Kelm/Telz, the 1930's
12 note books, a total of approximately 100 handwritten pages of Torah novellae on the tractates of the Talmud and important sermons. To the best of our knowledge, this rich material has never been printed.

Detailed description of the notebooks and manuscripts:

A. Nine notebooks handwritten by Rabbi Shneur Savid Walt, a disciple of the Alter of Kelm at his Beit Midrash and later a student of the Telz Yeshiva.

Notebook no 6 ends with "Telz, the 25th of Adar 1933". This ending appears also in notebook no. 5 and additional notebooks. In another notebook, he wrote at its end: "Renewed in Talmud Torah of kelm and written down on the 7th of Menachem Av … 34".

B. Notebook of eulogies and sermons handwritten by Rabbi Shneur David Walt when he was a rabbi in Sao Paulo (Brazil).

16 handwritten leaves. Among others, a eulogy for Rabbi Ya'akov Bracerman and a sermon "for my becoming rabbi of Sao Paulo". All the sermons are written in Yiddish. Maybe a copying.

C. A notebook handwritten by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Walt, Vilkomir, Towiany, a student of the Or Torah Yeshiva.

D. An additional pink notebook, five handwritten leaves, different script.

E. An interesting letter about him by the management of the 'Or Torah' Yeshiva of Vilkomir [1923].

F. Leaves with Torah Novellae in his handwriting [?] and novellae handwritten by other writers; and two additional letters to him.

מחברות בכתב יד, גדושות בחידושים על מסכתות הש"ס, וכן דרשות חשובות, מאת הגאון רבי שניאור דוד וואלט זצ"ל – קלם / טעלז, שנות התר"צ
12 מחברות, בסה"כ כ-100 עמודים כתובים, הכוללים חידושי תורה על מסכתות הש"ס, וכן דרשות חשובות. למיטב ידיעתנו חומר עשיר זה טרם נדפס עד היום.

תיאור מפורט של המחברות וכתבי היד:

א. תשעה מחברות בכתב ידו של רבי שניאור דוד וואלט זצ"ל, תלמידו של הסבא מקלם בבית מדרשו, ולאחר מכן תלמיד ישיבת טלז.

מחברת מס' 6, מסתיימת: "טלז, יום כ"ה אדר [תר]צ"ג". סיום כזה מופיע גם במחברת 5 ובמחברות נוספות. במחברת אחרת רשם בסופה: "נתחדש בת"ת דקלם, ונרשם ז' מנחם אב ... שנת צ"ד".

ב. מחברת הספדים ודרשות, בכתב ידו של הרב שניאור דוד וואלט, מתקופת רבנותו בסן פאולו (ברזיל).

16 דפים כתובים. בין היתר הספד על רבי יעקב ברוורמן, וכן דרשה "לעלותי על כסא הרבנות דסן פולא". כל הדרשות כתובות ביידיש. אולי מדובר בהעתקה.

ג. מחברת בכתב יד רבי שמואל אליהו וואלט, וולקומיר, טאוויאן, הלומד בישיבת אור תורה.

מחברות עם מעטפת מאוירת.

ד. מחברת ורודה נוספת, חמשה דפים כתובים, בכתב יד אחר.

ה. מכתב מעניין אודותיו מאת הנהלת ישיבת 'אור תורה' בוילקאמיר [תרפ"ג].

ו. דפים ובהם חידושי תורה בכתב ידו [?], וחידושים בכתב יד של כותבים אחרים; ושני מכתבים נוספים אליו.
