ITALY: Gilt (white metal or zinc) medal (1716) commemorating the Heroic Defence of Corfu against the Turks under the leadership of Matthias Johann Reichsgrave of Schulenburg (1661-1747). The statue of Schulenburg in Corfu on the obverse and a legend with the date 1716 in latin on the reverse. Engraved by Georg Vestner. Diameter: 49mm. Weight: 39,4gr. Scratches. Very Fine.
