Rav Tukachinsky (1872-1955) was the Rosh Yeshiva 'Etz Hayim'; married to a great-granddaughter of Rabbi Shmuel Salant (Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem) & a pupil of his; helped found the "Vaad Leumi" of the Yishuv & wrote the "Luach Eretz Israel" calendar with halachot per 'Minhag Yerushalyim'; a supporter of Rav Kook.
