1873, 70 Kr. brown-purple, horizontal pair, sheet fields 2-3, fresh colours with good coat of arms impression, on all sides wide resp. above imperforated, the left stamp with three-sided complete and at bottom visible separating lines, the right stamp with two-sided complete separating lines, neatly cancelled with "GMÜND BAHNHOF 9-X 74", fine, a superb horizontal pair, scarce. 1875, 5 Pfennig dark red violet, imperforated proof on ungummed yellowish carton-paper, imperforated, in a block of four, fresh colours and full to large margins, with black separating lines (marked in ink) in the spaces symbolising the perforations. Perfect. An extremely scarce proof; according to certificate Heinrich BPP (2023) only one wide multiples registered.

"HEILBRONN 18 SEP. 1868" and cancellation in pen and ink on small mourning envelope to Paris with adjacent transit cancellations, from there privately forwarded to St Moritz in Switzerland with backstamp "ACHEMINÉ Par HOTTING.
