Verticais 1850: 60 r. black, a vertical pair with ample to large margins all round and showing portions of adjoining stamps at left, used on reverse of 1866 entire letter from Rio Grande to Manchester endorsed "via Rio de Janeiro" and "Delph" at top, tied by Rio Grande cds  with Rio transit (July 16); carried at double rate and underpaid for this tariff, struck with oval "INSUFFICIENTE" in red on despatch. London transit (Aug 19) in red and struck with "FR / 2F 95c." Accountancy marking in black with Manchester arrivals of the following day and charged "2/6d." due to pay. Opened sensibly for display, a fine and most attractive entire.

Incoming Mail 1871/75: France Cérès 5 c. green, 15 c. bistre and 80 c. carmine, all used on 1876 cover from Le Havre to Pernambuco, Brazil endorsed "Str. Ville de Rio de Janeiro", tied by gros chiffres in black with "Le Havre Port" cds bvelow (March 2). Framed red "P.P." alongside and charged "200" reis due to pay upon arrival (March 21) with Pernambuco cds on reverse. Some aging but an attractive cover. Signed Roumet.

1878/1959: Interessante und weitgehend komplett ungebrauchte Sammlung Nachportomarken (doppelt geführt) inklusive vielen besseren Werten wie 1882, 100 Rp. blau auf Faserpapier mit kopfstehendem Rahmen (SBK 13K), 1883, 500 Rp. hellblaugrün mit kopfstehendem Rahmen (SBK 22AK, 2) oder 1887, 500 Rp. gelbgrün mit normalstehendem Rahmen (SBK 22CN). Dazu je eine Sammlung Portofreiheitsmarken inkl. 1934, 10 Rp. auf gekreidetem Faserpapier je mit Kontrollnr. 580 und ohne Kontrollnummer (SBK 12AIIz+12Bz) und Franco-Zettel, beide ebenfalls ungebraucht. In dieser Qualität und Vollständigkeit ein seltenes Angebot; sauber aufgezogen auf Leuchtturm-Vordruckblätter; 14 Befunde, fünf Atteste.

Greek Possession 1868/69: Greece 20 l. blue and 40 l. dull lilac on blued (3 examples) all used on incoming 1870 entire letter at double rate from Trieste to Cerigo, tied on arrival with "KYTHIRA / 112" circular datestamps (Sept 14j) in black. Oval "Triest" despatch cds (Sept 26) below and reverse with faint Kerkyra transit cds. File folds and marginal imperfections but an unusual franking.

Greek Possession 1867/74: Austria 10 kr. blue used on 1874 printed entire letter to Corfu, Ionian Islands endorsed "Col Vapore", tied by oval Triest datestamp in black (Oct 17), underpaid ("15" in blue crayon) and handstamped "AFF. INSUFF." in black; taxed on arrival with Greece 1868 1 l. red-brown and 1872 40 l. greyish-olive on blued, each tied by dotted "106" lozenge of dots in black on arrival. Kerkyra cds on reverse (Oct 7j). File fold and small imperfections but rare.

Greek Possession 1862/67: Greece consecutive 5 l. green on greenish, 10 l. orange on blued, 20 l. blue and 40 l. mauve on blued, margins touched to good, used on 1866 underpaid cover from Cerigo (Kythira) to Venice tied by dotted "112" numerals in black with "Kythira / 112" cds alongside (April 3). Framed Greek "Insufficiently / Prepaid" in black and reverse with Kerkyra cds, Triest datestamp (where taxed "10/15" kreuzer) and Venice arrival cds (April 12). Imperfections but unusual.

Confederate States 1861: 5 c. green, Stone 1, a fine example with ample margins all round, used on 1862 cover to Knoxville, Tenn., tied by "JACKSON / Miss." circular datestamp (Feb 5) in black; underpaid and struck with "DUE / 5" in black at left. Small closed envelope tear at right not into the adhesive; with a second 1862 cover with 5 c. green (two examples in differing shades) to Greenville, SC tied by "NORFOLK / VA" cds in blue (April 21), just 19 days before Norfolk fell to Union forces Scott = $ 600.

1894: First issue ¼ g. green, a single example used on 1896 underpaid cover to Naples, Italy lightly cancelled in brown. Triangular "T" marking in blue at left and reverse with bilingual "HARAR" cds (Nov 19) in black and two strikes of elliptical "DJIBOUTI" datestamps (26 and 28 Nov) in blue. Octagonal "Reunion a Marseille / L.U.No.1" Paquebot datestamp in black (Nov 28). Taxed on arrival with Italy Postage Due 50 c. (Dec 9). An unusual cover.

1924: 1 c. brown, grey on buff perf. 13½, 1926 "Postage" overprint in black on 1 c. blue, further example optd. in reddish-brown on 1 c. blue and November 1926 2 m., 5 m. (2) and 10 m. all used on 1927 registered cover tied by "ULAN BATOR / MONGOLIA" cds's (Aug 30). Three strikes of large "T" marking (two on reverse) and transit cds of Chita (Sept 8) and Manchouli (Sept 11) cds where China 1914 Postage Due 10 c. blue pair (Gi D346) applied and tied on reverse. File fold away from the adhesives, some overall aging but scarce.

Kelantan 1911/15: 1 c. blue-green and 3 c. red, used on short paid 1919 cover to Bangkok tied by TANAH MERAH cds (Aug 11) in black with triangular "T" marking adjacent in black. Reverse with transit and two different strikes of Bangkok arrival datestamps (Aug 21 and Aug 22) with notation of 20 satangs due in blue crayon. Some overall aging but a scarce usage.
